CAT è la Platform della ricerca PRIN 2022 PNRR “CONFISCATED ASSETS IN TRANSITION: From the Anti-City to the Third Heritage” condotta dalle UR delle Università degli Studi Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria (PI), Federico II di Napoli, e Università di Palermo.
L’obiettivo è esplorare la relazione tra bene confiscato e progetto di architettura, per sperimentare la dimensione civile, estetica e urbana di tali beni. Luoghi “problematici” e “scomodi”, presenze invisibili, scarti dell’illegalità, i beni confiscati sono assunti come spazi fisici di un Terzo Patrimonio che necessita di trasformazioni capaci di rigenerare i territori secondo logiche inclusive e partecipative.
CAT is the Platform of the PRIN 2022 PNRR research project “CONFISCATED ASSETS IN TRANSITION: From the Anti-City to the Third Heritage” conducted by the RU at the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria (PI), Federico II University of Naples, and the University of Palermo.
The aim is to explore the relationship between confiscated assets and architectural projects, in order to experiment with the civil, aesthetic and urban dimensions of such assets. “Problematic” and “inconvenient” places, invisible presences, remnants of illegality, confiscated assets are taken as physical spaces of a Third Heritage that needs transformations capable of regenerating territories according to inclusive and participatory logic.
